Hailing from Montana, I moved to Atlanta, GA where I earned my degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. Since that time I have remained in the Atlanta community primarily working with Cold Fusion in the Medical Education Industry.
As avid Cold Fusion developer and enthusiast, I was honored to be elected to serve as president of the Atlanta Cold Fusion User group earlier this year. My particular interest for using CF is in highly rapid application development through the use of code application generation tools and factories utilizing OO design patterns.
I am highly interested in social networking, marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). While monitoring social networks and being involved in many over the years I finally started the Mohawk Hair social network, MohawksRock.com in November 2007 to analyze social networking habits in a vertical market.
In early 2006 I gave a presentation on “Increasing Security and Productivity On-line”. The goal of that presentation and one of the primary goals of this blog, is to show the average user how they can use social networking tools and the web to improve their productivity and home and at work, while also avoiding some of the pitfalls.
I am the US application development manager for Meditech Media, a full-service global medical education firm part of the Nucleus Holdings Group. We produce communication tools for the medical and pharmaceutical industries to disseminate knowledge about new treatments in a variety of therapy areas. Seeing as how I get queasy around medical equipment, I do like knowing that I still get to be part of the process in helping people and their families by providing their healthcare professionals seamless and personal continued education better and faster everyday.
